The Ferris State Bulldogs football team competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). They are an NCAA Division II program. The Bulldogs are known for their success, having won three national championships in 2021, 2022, and 2024. They have also been ranked among the top ten Division II teams since 2015 and reached the NCAA Division II Playoffs a nation-leading nine consecutive years
